Letters from the Wilderness

Once a month, a letter arrives from the wilderness…

Written by a man living far from civilization.
No one knows exactly where he is… only that the letters keep coming.

This Isn’t Just Mail

Most things today are fast.
Rushed. Forgotten.

These aren’t.

Each letter is written slowly…
and meant to be read the same way.

What You’ll Receive

  • One letter per month (1–3 pages)
  • Part of an ongoing 12-part story
  • Occasional sketches from the wilderness
  • Delivered by mail

Each letter builds on the last.

No One Knows Where He Is

The letters don’t come easily.

Sometimes they arrive late.
Sometimes weathered.

Passed along by whoever happens to be heading back toward civilization.

But they always seem to find their way.

Sample:  just a little "tid bit" of an actual letter

The frost came in last night.

Not the kind that warns you.
The kind that just settles in… like it’s been here before.

I stepped outside before the sun had a chance to reach the trees.
The ground held its breath.

There were tracks near the edge of the clearing.

Deer, I think. Maybe two of them.

They moved through sometime in the night while everything else was still.

Funny how that works.
Most things out here happen when no one’s looking.

I stood there longer than I planned to.

Didn’t bring anything with me—not even the rifle.
Just watched the frost settle into the woodpile, the fence posts… the roofline.

You start to notice things when you slow down enough.
Patterns. Timing.

The way everything seems to happen when it’s supposed to.

Hard to explain that to someone who’s always moving.
